Yeah yeah, I’ve done it again, left ages between posts. I’ve been a busy boy though, or at least that’s my excuse.
The main thing I’ve been up to I guess was my yearly visit to Knockhill for the BTCC. I added a Saturday to the Sunday this year and took in a bit of qualifying action too, which was great because it was a lot quieter so I had more freedom to play with the camera. It was a pretty close qualifying session too.
Sunday was a bit different, while Saturday had been dry, it was pissing it down on Sunday, typical really. Charley and the other two kids had joined me and Riley this year. Not a great introduction for them really! Never mind though, it gave me a different aspect of a motorsport event to focus on…wet weather photography!
We had a mooch around the paddock and I bumped we bumped into Tom Ingram…who I’m fairly sure was a bit sick of the sight of me by Sunday afternoon.
Riley managed to make me jealous though, He was roaming around with one of my old cameras when he was invited into BTC Norlin’s, I guess you can call it, ‘technical area’ to get a closer look at their cars. This led to him getting to sit in a car, and led to me being slightly envious. For a moment I wished I was a rather adorable-looking 6 year old.
I actually bumped into a few drivers over the weekend, and while those who pay attention to my Instagram know I challenged Jack Goff to recreate a scene from ‘Top Gun’ I made do with a simple high-five in the end. Better than a poke in the eye though I guess!
Actually, I reckon I can probably update the gallery now with the new photographs. Here are some to keep you going!
