My wife Charley, hates having her photograph taken, which is slightly inconvenient for her seeing as I take photos. She struggles with her confidence which is a shame because she’s a bit pretty!
Anyway, I convinced her to have a few photographs taken the other day, the results of which can be seen in a previous post and even Charley liked them which is highly unusual. She’s been on this mission to lose weight and now that she has made all this progress it’s time to work on her confidence. So I decided I would get the photographs printed up into a book! Next time she has a similar set of photographs done I’ll get them printed into a book too, a visual documentation of her journey.
I’ve sent the guys at Saal Digital some photographs to be printed before and I was impressed with them, so I headed to them again. I’m after a reliable and consistent quality that isn’t going to cost me a fortune and I’ve tried other companies who have promised all of that for rock bottom prices and while one item looked great, the second one was terrible. So would Saal Digital be the same? At least they have the advantage of having desktop software, I’m not a fan of uploading images and doing it all in a web browser. It tends to take far too long as too reliant on a decent internet connection, so no option to design it all offline. So that’s a plus for them.
I opted for an A4 book, picked 28 images, and a quality print. Designed it, uploaded and waited for it to arrive.
A few days later the postie dropped it in to me, I excitedly unpacked it…after all…photographs of my wife! They always make me smile! She’s a babe! It looked exactly as I had expected, and for these guys I had reasonably high expectations. I think I’d have preferred to have picked the soft cover option but I was trying to do it for under £40 and decided that the better print quality would have been the wiser choice.
Talking of print, the quality is fantastic, perfectly sharp and colours are true to what I see on my PC screen. The claim was that the paper is fingerprint-proof. I picked a page and gave it a good thumbing and it certainly seems to be true!
To sum up, I had my expectations, and for these guys they weren’t low, and I got what I expected. So I’m happy. Got some wall art lined up to order at some point too…Voucher hint Saal!
